Currently the only OS supported is Yocto. But it should be possible to port Android to the Edison, I’d suggest you to look over the community for Debian and ubilinux posts on how they ported their OS into the Edison. I think they might be helpful for what you are trying to use. In case you decide to use the complete Yocto image, you can get it from here https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-23242.
